The Stanley and Outwood East council by-election was held yesterday. Firstly, could we please thank all our members and activists who volunteered their time over the past few weekends to leaflet the ward.
Additionally, we would like to extend our thanks to the police, Council staff and the returning officer for running such a smooth election.
Whilst we were not successful this time we are encouraged by the increase in our vote share of 7.3%, the largest increase of any party, that will hopefully give us a good platform for the local elections next year. We will continue fighting tooth and nail for residents in our area.
