Kirsty Baldwin has been a member of the Conservative party since 2017, after becoming involved in politics when Andrea Jenkyns MP visited her sports therapy clinic in Morley. Kirsty has owned her own business for 10 years and is passionate about supporting the backbone of our economy, small businesses, in Ardsley and Robin Hood.
Kirsty, a proud Yorkshire woman, has lived and worked in the local area all her life. She studied business as well as sports therapy and surveying at University. She also has a post graduate diploma in veterinary physiotherapy, and is therefore passionate about animal welfare.
Kirsty is keen to improve our local area, after years of being taken for granted by Labour, by promoting schemes for local businesses, improving transport links to the city centre and encouraging a healthy lifestyle for all local people. Kirsty was particularly pleased to hear that many other residents felt, like she has for some time, that the area lacks a local community hub. Feeling let down by city planners and council representatives, Kirsty committed herself to standing up and being a fresh voice for the community.
